About:Prohibited Items

China is not my final destination. Do I need to declare items meant for another country?

I'm travelling to PRC on business trip, but will go on vacation to another country. I'll be travelling with gifts meant for people at the final destination.

How do I handle the declaration of items that will eventually leave PRC?

In many country, transit passenger doesn't need to pay tax. The condition may also be the same in PRC. But you are still advised to contact the PRC customs to make sure.
