About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

I'm a NZ citizen on apply from Australia

I am a NZ citizen on holiday in Brisbane. Can I apply for a Chinese tourist visa from Brisbane? I was also told that because its ny first time to PRC I am only eligible for a 30 day stay. I wish to visit my gf in her hometown. Do I need a invitation letter?

You can apply for it at the CVASC in Brisbane.
You can ask your girlfriend to issue an invitation letter to you, in this case, the round trip air tickets and hotel reservation will not be required.
