Stop 5 days in shanghai before going to vietnam

We are 10 friends comig from france to shanghai where we stay 5 days. Then we ll go to vietnam and cambodia and we ll return to france.
Our tickets flights are ok for all of us
Are visas necessaries for china? Thank you

Sophie, if all of you hold French passport, you are eligible for the free transit in Shanghai. In this case, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit.

5 days is more than the 72 hour transit visa allows.

Nope, because Shanghai has adopted the 144-hour free transit policy. :)
