About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

After staying 72 hours in Shaghai, I will be leaving to Vietnam.

I have an appliaction letter for the visa on arrival in Vietnam. Is this document valid for my stay without entry permit in China as an entry permit for a third country or region is requested?

Maria, I think it can be used as proof of your valid entry permit for Vietnam. So you can apply for the free transit in Shanghai.
