guangzhou baiyun airport to victory hotel on shamian island.

Question

Do we take Line 3 from the airport to East Railway Station, then catch line 1 to Huangsha Station on Shamian Island to get to the Victory Hotel?  As well, we will be visiting Hong Kong and when we come back to GZ from there, we need to go directly to the GZ airport.  Is it best to return to the East Train Station then take Line 3 to the airport?  Thanks!

Well, you can take metro line 3 to East Railway Station, and then change to metro line 1 to Huangsha. But it is a detour. Or, you can take metro line 3 to Jiahewanggang Station, and change to metro line 2 to Gongyuanqian Station. Then, transfer to metro line 1 to Cultural Park Station, Exit E. Walk west for about 450 yards to it. The trip takes about 50 minutes, and the fare is CNY 8. You may take a train to East Railway Station from Hung Hom (about 2 hours). Upon arrival, take metro line 3 to CAN (about 30 minutes). :)

I mean that this route has longer distance and takes more time than the one I suggested. From East Railway Station to Baiyun Airport (CAN), you can take metro line 3. The duration is about 35 mins. And the ticket fare is CNY 7 per person.
