About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Shanghai 144 hr transit

I want to visit a friend in Shanghai. I will be coming from KUL Malyasia buying a ticket to Shanghai then going back to Korea. I think I'm confused about this transit. Is it possible for me to buy a ticket to Shanghai without a visa and stay for 144 hrs when I show them my purchased ticket to Korea?

Yes, you can use the 144 hours free transit in Shanghai. When passing through the immigration counter, you just need to your show your passport and purchased ticket to Korea.
