About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HK to Nanning to Hanoi

I am staying in Hong Kong on a student visa right now. Later I will be travelling by train to Nanning then Bus to Hanoi. I will not be in an airport, but am just passing through. Do I qualify for the 72 hour Visa?

Duncan, if you travel by train or bus, you don’t qualify for the 72 hour free transit. You should apply for a transit G type or tourist L type in advance.
