Can I take more than US$5000 if i am taking my son who is 13yrs old to china for tour?

According to the regulations, your son can also take certain sum of money in, so it is ok for you to bring more than US$5000 into China. But I strongly suggest that the extra cash should not be too much. Otherwise, you have to declare at the customs.
