malaysia passport transit at beijing flying from houston to busan

Question

Am I allowed to transit at Beijing when the plane fly from Houston to Busan with transit at Beijing?  Possible plane change and gate change so am I allowed to enter or even transit within the airport at Beijing.  Currently holding Malaysia passport..

Simon, if your layover time in Beijing is less than 24 hours, you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit there. If you need to exit the airport and then check in again, you can apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the airport.
