About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bangkok-Shanghai visa free

Hi, I will be travelling London-Hongkong-Bangkok-shanghai-London. Can I use the 144hr free arrangement for my stay in Shanghai (2 days) or does one have to arrive and depart from the same destination (i.e. London-shanghai-London)?? Thanks

Anne, you are able to make use of the free transit in Shanghai.
And if one arrives and departs from the same destination, (i.e. London-shanghai-London), he/she cannot enjoy the free transit because the free transit policy stipulates that after transiting in a Chinese city, one should fly to a third country or region rather than the one he/she came from.
