About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I have a 13 hour layover in beijing. I fly bangkok > beijing > montreal.

Canada is my home country. Am i still eligible for the visa?

if you do not have any other transit flight within Chinese cities, you will meet the free transit policy. For canada or US passport, you will not meet the transit policy for flight route like Bangkok -shanghai-Beijing-Montreal, the restriction applied if you have multiple transit flight within PRC.
