visa for libyan passport holder

Question

Hi, my boss (a diplomat) is planning for a tour in HK with his family. While his son is a Diplomatic Passport Holder, his wife is a Libyan Passport Holder. We have a Chinese Embassy here where we can submit application however we were told that the processing will take approximately one and a half month. Is there a possible way to expedite the processing? Thanking you in advance..Sue

Sue, as far as I know, there is no express service. Usually, if you submit the application to the embassy of PRC and the embassy deals with the application on its own, 4 working days are needed. But if the application is transferred to HK immigration department, 4 to 6 weeks are needed and no express service is provided.
