About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does this qualify for the 72 hour visa free transit?

I am flying from the UK via Dubai to Auckland, I will then fly from Auckland to Shanghai via Sydney. I will be arriving in Shanghai 18.30 and staying for 2 nights. My return flight back to the UK is via Dubai approximately 38 hours after arrival. Can you confirm that I can use the 72 hour free transit.
