About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I want to visit Beijing for 2 days to see a friend who is ill. I would like to go as soon as possible without waiting a week for a visa. Can I make use of the 72 hour visa?

Lesley, if you book a direct flight from UK to Beijing and a direct return flight, you can't enjoy this policy. I advise you to go back to UK via HK or Macau to make yourself eligible.
