About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Im a US citizen traveling back from Bangkok, Thailand to the US and will transit htrough Hong Kong

For 7 hours and then flying to Tokyo for my flight back to the US. Do I need a transit visa?

As a US citizen, you can enjoy 90-day free entry to HK, so the transit permit is not necessary.
