can I apply for the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai?

Hi I am flying into Shanghai October this year and staying three nights but then doing s cruise from Shanghai can I apply for the 72 free visa kind regards Mrs Reynolds

Denise, the 72 hour free transit is not applicable to your travel because the 72 hour policy is only applicable to those who raveling by flight.
But after stopping in Shanghai, if the country the ship heads to is different from the one you just departed, you can use the 144 hour free transit. In this case, no entry permit is needed, either.
