About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour transit question

Im flying from US to Shanghai and then Im planning to take a flight from Shanghai to Guangzhou during the 72 hour period. Then departing from Hong Kong to Paris, is this allowed?

Gaston, sorry, it’s not allowed. When you enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai, you cannot fly to Guangzhou. If you want to travel like that, you should apply for a tourist L type or transit G type ahead of your trip.
