can student visa be revoked

Hi, I came to China on the 29th September I have a student X type valid till the July 15 but I will be giving my HSK4 in a few days time . I wanted to take a few days to travel after my exams but my university feels that I should go back right after I give my exams . I wanted to know if the university has a right to cancel my student X type on any grounds ?.

Hi Alex! Actually if your X type is valid till July 15, you can stay until then. In normal cases, the school won't take the trouble to cancel your X type. However, if you want to play on the safe side, you can go to the local exit and entry administration office after the exams and change your X type to a one-month L type so that you can travel for a month.

If you change X type to a tourist L type, it costs CNY 168. You can change without leaving PRC.
