About:Independent China Tours

visa

i hold UK passport. my trip needs less than 72 hrs in CHENGDU and then cross over to TIBET for 5 days. then again 48 hrs in Chengdu. Can i travel to CHENGDU on TRANSIT visa on both occasions ?

Hi, Chengdu and Tibet both belong to China. The transit visa can not be used in this way. You need to apply for the Chinese visa. BTW, foreigners need the Tibet Travel Permit to enter Tibet. You should find a travel agent to help you in this.

No, Hong Kong citizens and Macau citizens don't need the Tibet Travel Permit, only foreigners (including Taiwanese need this permit).
