About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Macau - Guangzhou, 72 hour policy

Hi
We are going to visit a friend in Macau for 10 days, so was wondering if it would be possible to get a 72 hours free visa to go to Guangzhou by land and return to Macau?
(British Passport).
Thanks

Amir, no, you cannot get 72 hour free transit if you travel like that. Firstly, the 72 hour policy is only applicable to those who travel by flight; and secondly, the 72 hour policy stipulates that one should fly to a third country or region after he/she transits in a Chinese city.

Hey mate, thanks a lot.

Do you have any idea for border entry permit for:
Macau - Zhuhai
Macau - Shenzhen
Hong Kong - Shenzhen
Hong Kong - Zhuhai?

I read some where that you could get a 5 day VOA. Is that correct? Is it single entry? Can you go from one to the other? How much does it cost?
Many Thanks
Amir

You can get 5-day VOA in Shenzhen and 3-day VOA in Zhuhai. It is single entry. You cannot go from one city to the other, for example, if you get the 3-day VOA in Zhuhai, you are only allowed to travel around the administrative area of Zhuhai.
A VOA costs CNY 304 for UK citizens.

Hi Danny,
Thanks for your reply.
It seems we need to skip it then, it's going to be a bit expensive for a day visit.
