Question

I will have to go to the big buddha and return to chengdu on the same day. Is it better by train or bus? Do you have timetable to go early in the morning to go and return in the late afternoon to chengdu?

Hi, for your case, train can be a good choice for both trips. The earliest bullet train leaves from Chengdu East Train Station at 07:30. You shall arrive at 08:35. Then take a taxi to the scenic area with the fare of CNY20-30. After touring around, take a fast train at the same station and the last train gets back at 22:00. Have a good trip!
