What airlines will you travel with? Different airlines use different teminals. Anyway, the minimum connection time is 60 minutes within T3; 100 minutes within T2; 120 minutes between T2 and T3. :)

Arriving on Air China from Vancouver, then departing on Air China to Kuala Lumpur.
Would these both be in terminal 3? Do I have to clear customs with my bags before departing for Kuala Lumpur?
I have a 3 hour layover in BJ. will this be enough time?
Thanks,
Mary Lynn

Yes, both would be in T3. The minimum connection time is 60 minutes, so the time is enough for you.

If you hold the connecting flight boarding pass, you needn't clear customs. Just confirm the boarding gate of your flight, and follow the guiding signs for the transfer circuit to head for right boarding gate.

Otherwise, you need to go to the Transfer Counter on 3F for handling boarding procedures. You need to go through immigration, personal security check and customs inspection, and then go to corresponding boarding gate.
