About:Beijing Capital International Airport

In Beijing airport, how long I will need to allow when checking in before my flight.

I plan on checking in online first, but I will have to check a bag, and I'm going to the US, will I need to pass through any customs sort of thing?
I don't want to miss my flight, but I also don't want to spend too much time waiting inside when I could have been in the city!

Well, generally speaking, you are advised to arrive at the airport 2.5 hours in advance. Then you will have enough time to check-in and claim the luggage. Notably, the check-in service stops 1 hour before the departure. Don't be late.
