About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Connecting Flight Shanghai-Beijing

I'm flying from Taipei to Beijing but my connecting flight is in Shanghai, it's only few hours layover in Shanghai. From Beijing, I'll go back home in US. Am I still be eligible for 72-Hour-Free-Transit?

Sorry, I'm afraid not. Under the 72hour TWOV rule, you can't transit in two Chinese cities.
