About:Passport

Can I travel to China with valid visa but less than 6 months of Indian valid passport

Hi,

My friends indian passport is expiring on 20th August 2016 (that is less than 6 months validity) however he has valid Chinese entry permit for a month that is till 27th April 2016. He is expected to travel to PRC for two weeks and has to on 4th April 2016.

Can he travel to PRC on 4th April 2016 and come back to india on 16th April 2016. He has to travel via hongkong intransit. This is a business need and he doesn't have time for passport renewal. Pls advice. Quite urgent. Thanks

Hi Sarat, it's ok. Your friend can take this passport to travel both mainland and Hong Kong.

Well, I don't think you need to take other documents. If you worry about problems, you can take a return ticket to show that you will exit before the passport exipiry date.
