About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London-Shanghai-Auckland, 73 hour visa free transit

Hi
We are travelling from London to Auckland and change planes in Shanghai with a 5 hour stop. Can we use the 72 hour free option in this case? Just double checking - Don't want to get there an find out we need an entry permit! Thanks so much. :)
