About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Hi, I am an Israeli citizen and will be traveling by plane from Pyongyang through Beijing to Seoul.

When I land in PEK, I will have to pick up my luggage from the Pyongyang flight and check in again for my flight to Seoul, as they are two separate flights and there is no cooperation between the two airliners. The two flights are on the same day. I have no Chinese visa, and I am not entitled to the 72-hour visa-free status. I have no intention to actually enter BJ whatsoever, I literally just need to transfer.

My question is: can I pick up my luggage from the Pyongyang flight and check in at BJ for my Seoul-bound flight without a Chinese visa?

Well, you are eligible to the 24h visa-free policy, so you can claim your luggage and transfer to the next flight at PEK without a visa. No worry! If having to leave the transit area, just apply for a stay permit at the inspection counter.
