is it true that Marco fought very vicious battles for kublia khan to impress him and win his trust?

June, I am afraid not. Marco and his uncle were presented to Kublia Khan in 1275. Kublia Khan allowed them to stay. Marco was really smart. He learnt to speak Mongolian and social etiquette quickly. Kublia was very happy and even arranged several trips for him to visit Chinese cities. It's said that they had built a great relationship.
