About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I'm arriving to Shanghai from USA & plan on going to HK in less than 48 hours.

what happens if i change my mind & want to go back to the US instead of HK ?

Heshy, I think it may be okay. But anyway, you have to provide the confirmed air ticket to HK to apply for the 72-hour free transit service. If you don’t go to HK after the stay in Shanghai, you will waste the air ticket to HK.
