About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hong Kong - beijing and return

Can I make use of the 72 hour transit provision by fliyng from Hong kong, spending 72 hours in Beijing and then returning to Hong Kong before flying out to the Uk?

Ali, if so, you cannot use the 72 hour free transit. You need to apply for a relevant entry permit to enter mainland PRC in advance. Actually, after spending 72 hours in Beijing, if you fly to UK direct, you can use the 72 hour free transit.
