About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Im a french And I have a 20h transit in CAN but I travel with open staff tickets ( not confirmed)

With this kind of ticket can I get a direct transit 24h or a 72h free transit permit or do I need to get a visa beforehand?

Lesbre, according to the 72 hour policy, one should present the confirmed air tickets. So I’m afraid you cannot get free transit or direct transit. You should apply for a tourist L type or transit G type beforehand.
