About:Shenzhen Attractions

Shenzhen OldTown

I have visited the city many times but usually in the central commercial or main tourist areas. I would like to find a hotel near the old town, narrow street, local markets, traditional people, city wall and old buildings. Can you recommend the area I need to be in - and where I can find a cheap hotel near subway so I have easy access to airport (from Chengdu) and trains (to Guangzhou)?

You may go to Nantou Old town. As for accommodation, you may consider Vienna Hotel at no. 88, Nantou Street, Nanxin Road, Nanshan District. You can walk south along Nanxin Road to Daxin Station of Luobao Metro Line.

I am in the city on business and have a free weekend to explore. I googled tourist attractions and this thread came up. I am actually staying at the Venice hotel and it is wonderful. Amazing breakfast buffet free in the morning. Beautiful clean rooms very high class.
