Hong Kong tourist Visa for Vietnam Passport with Australian Tourist entry permit

Hi,

I have a quick question regarding an entry permit for HK.

I am an Australian Citizen with an Australian passport. My company has asked me to work in HK for a month in March.

My wife has a Vietnamese passport with a multiple entry tourist entry permit to Australia at the moment which will be changed to a PR after coming back from HK.

Can she
- Apply for a HK (and Macau) tourist entry permit through the Chinese Embassy in Sydney/Melbourne?
with the required documents which are
1) application form
2) passport-sized photo
3) air-ticket
4) hotel reservation
5) bank statements
6) question regarding : HK guarantor --- would proof of my work engagement in HK with the company's name and phone number + marriage certificate + Australian tourist entry permit prove this requirement?

- The processing time indicated is 4 weeks. Does she have to submit her passport for the 4 weeks or would authenticated photocopies of the passport be enough?

Dear, it’s possible for her to apply for it through the Chinese Embassy in Sydney/Melbourne.
As for the guarantor, you can ask your company to be her sponsor, if possible, your company needs to provide the application form and copy of the business registration certificate.
If the application is transferred to HK, she just needs to provide the photocopy of the passport.
