About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

how long must I stay in HK to prevent being fined for overstaying?

I am a Singapore citizen and enjoy a 15 day visa-free travel in China. In March, I am travelling to Shanghai for a period of 18 days. However, I intend to travel to HK from Shanghai for 3 days during that 18 day period. Would I need to apply for a tourist L type to China ? or is it alright not to apply for one since I would have exited mainland to go to HK in between? Thanks.

Tan, in my opinion, you don’t need to apply for a tourist L type. The number of your stay duration after each entry is not accumulative. When you re-enter, you will get another 15 days. So don't worry!
