About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Ok to go back to country A (Country A, China, back to Country A) instead of going to 3rd country?

My boss needs to go to Shanghai from the USA for 48 hours. Would be a round trip ticket San Francisco/Shanghai/San Francisco.

Isa, in that case, your boss cannot use the 72 hour free transit and he/she should apply for a tourist L type or business M type ahead of the trip.
