About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

flight from Canada to India, 2 stops in China

Hello! I am Ukrainian passport holder. I have a flight from Vancouver, CA to India with 2 transfers. 1st one Shanghai (16 hours layover), 2d one Kunming (23 hours layover). Do I need the transit visa in this case, if i'm not going to leave the airport?
Thanks in advance

Yes, you should apply for a G type from the CVASC center in Vancouver first. It requires your air tickets, passport, application form and a recent passport photo. You probably get it in four working days.

CVASC center address: Suite 1501, 393 University Avenue, Toronto

What about 24 hours free transit, is it the time in total for all transits in all cities?

Your transit is over 24h in total so you don't qualify for the 24h transit.
