About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

UK to Beijing return. No time to get a visa in UK.

I am flying from Birmingham via Dubai to Beijing and returning the same route. Can I use the 72 hour visa? I have meetings in Beijing.

Ken, you mean that you will fly back to Dubai and then to Birmingham after the meetings in Beijing? If yes, I’m afraid you cannot use the 72 hour free transit and you should apply for an M type in advance by using rush service. Alternatively, you can ask the meeting host to contact Beijing Immigration Office and see if you can get a VOA at the airport.

If I fly Birmingham - Dubai - Beijing and return Beijing - Hong Kong - Dubai - Birmingham would I qualify for the 72 hour free stay?
