About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Filipina. with Employment and residency stamp in UAE issued Nov 2015 valid for 2 years.

Good day. Please note that I recently moved in here in UAE last september 5 2015, i traveled from thailand and malaysia as well for the past 6 months. and I got a job in UAE by sept 13, 2015. I am working in a legal firm in Dubai Sheik Zayed as Legal assistant and case processing. I would like to know, if I can apply for a tourist visa to china since my residency stamp is newly issued here in UAE. My round trip tickets will be from dubai to hongkong tentatively from Dec 24 2015 - Jan 2 2015. the reason i wanted to apply for a tourist L type to PRC is that i will spend christmas in HK 25-26 and by 27th i would like to travel to mainland as well for vacation and travel purposes, and be back to HK by jan 2 for my return way to dubai. Filipinos who are in UAE are visa free to travel to hongkong for 14 days, so I am okay with my flights going there. I want a reliable information regarding this as i am working and the PRC consulate here in dubai is open at 9-12noon and contact numbers are hardly reachable. I want to make the most of my one week holiday break on christmas so i want to have my tickets finalize now. Please advise. A response is truly appreciated. Many many thanks. (waiting for a reply)

Hi Princess, you can apply for the tourist L type from Dubai as you have a valid residence permit there. The tickets from Dubai to HK and from there to Dubai can be accepted as your transportation proof. Pay attention that you should mention the trip in HK on your application form.

Should be no major problem with obtaining a visa to mainland China. Their website gives details on what is required - just make sure you have all your documents. You could also apply while in HK.

Where in the mainland are you planning to go?
