About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I year multiple entry L visa rules

I have a multiple entry 1 year tourist L type, valid until July 2016. I stayed 90 days and left for Hong Kong for 3 days before returning. No problem at Shanghai airport immigration upon departure. May I now stay for another 90 days before leaving or am I subsequently limited to stays of 60 days?

Hi Tom! If each stay duration permitted by the L type is 90 days, then you can re-enter and stay for another 90 days.

I blush to admit that my L type does indeed specify 90-day stays. However, before closer scrutiny, I had become alarmed by the many reports that spoke of one-year multiple-entry permit stays being limited to 60 days. Thank you for your reply.
