Difference between Guangzhou and Guangzhou

Hello!

I have got one question: On the schedule it says a train from Guilin to Guangzhou is about 2:30 hours - whereas it is around 11 hours !!! from Guiin to Guangzhou South. I don't understand the difference in time for Guangzhou and Guangzhou South!

Guangzhou and Guangzhou South are just 2 different stations in Guangzhou city. That 11 hours ride would be the slow type but these from Guiln North to Guangzhou South are the high speed type and take within 3 hours.
