China Prepaid SIM Card

Can you advise which SIM Card/telco should i buy and how to go about it. Need to use it to make local call, international calling/receiving to/from Singapore (what is the charges?), maybe data just for checking email/whatsapp, so what is the recommended Prepaid SIM?

We need to go to Macau a few days (follow by Zhuhai then Guangzhou), are we able to buy any Prepaid SIM card there?or can only be purchased in mainland itself?

Loh, you need to choose a telecom operator according to your cellphone. If it supports WCDMA, then you should use Unicom sim card. If it supports CDMA/CDMA2000, you should buy Telecom's sim card. If it just spports GSM, then Unicom and China Mobile are both ok.

The charges are different. It depends on which telecom operator you choose and what packages you ask for and which city you stay. One thing you need to understand is that you need to deposit a certain amount of money to enable international calls. Also, your passport is required when buying sim card.

For Macau trip, you can buy local sim card after you arrive.
