About:Lijiang Transportation

Kunming to Shangrila with two 2-50lb suit cases for 1 person

With the above situation would you recommend bus or train?
For the bus, where can I catch the bus in kunming, is there going to be an issue with my luggage, and where can I find detail info for the bus.

There is no train to Shangri-la, so you can only use bus. The buses depart from Kunming West Coach Station at 08:30, 09:30, 14:00, 18:30 and 20:30. Ticket fare is around CNY220-240 and duration is about 10-12 hours. About your luggage, the staff will allow it onboard, no worry.

The official website offers advance booking service but it only has Chinese version. Maybe you can ask a Chinese friend or the hotel staff to help you. Or try to call 0871-68015801 for booking, but I'm afraid it also speaks Chinese only.
