About:Kunming - Dali High Speed Train

Kunming to Lijiang via Dali by train

I am considering taking a train from Kunming to Dali and transfering to another train to Lijiang as I found it produces a better arrival time.
Is there any transfer gate when I arrive in Dali train station and how long do I need for the transfer?
Upon booking, do I need to buy two separate ticket, one for Kunming to Dali, and another for Dali to Lijiang?
In that case, will I still be able to use the transfer gate if they have one?

Yes, you can make a quick transfer at Dali Railway Station for a connecting train, and you need to book two separate tickets. After getting off the train, follow the “Transfer” signs to get to the transfer gate and then get into the waiting hall, taking about 5 – 10 minutes in total. Do not forget to leave some time for checking onboard.
