Kunming to Zhongdian (Gyalthang) - Ground transportation

1. If I were you, I would choose to take a train to Lijiang for a transfer and then catch a bus to arrive, because the direct bus from Kunming takes 10 hours (much longer than the former method) to Shangri-la which is suffering.
2. At Kunming West Bus Station, you can easily catch a bus. For buses with seats, it costs CNY249 per personl; for sleeper buses, the fare is CNY208 per person.
