About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Manila - HK (Transit only) - Shanghai - Hong Kong (4 days) - Manila

I'm an Australian passport holder travelling from Manila to Shanghai (via HK for transit only). My stay in Shanghai is less than 72 hours then I am flying out to Hong Kong for a 4 day visit before returning back to Manila. Do I qualify for the transit visa? I understand that HK is treated as a 3rd region I think

Thanks

Hi Meredith, I'm afraid you are not eligible for the free transit policy as you enter from HK and then back to HK.

Thanks. But if I fly direct to Shanghai from Manila then back to Manila via HK I should be ok right?
