Extending on public holiday

Hi,
My tourist L type expires on the 6 of october. I just realized that there is a public holiday on the first week of october. Will I be able to extend it during the holiday? If not, how long before should I apply?
I am currently traveling in xinjiang, is there any good place to renew my visa here?

Ido, you can't extend it during the holiday. You should apply for the extension seven working days before the current entry permit expires. The process should be conducted at the exit and entry administration division of PSB in Xinjiang.
