Apply HongKong & Macau visa in Malaysia for Foreigner

Dear Team,

I'm from Vietnam who is working in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia. I've had Work Permit under my company provided.

I want to travel to Hongkong and Macau on coming the end of Sep or Oct so then can I apply visa in KL (Malaysia) or not? If can so what document I need to submit to Embassy in KL?

Where is the office I should go to submit my documents to? How many days am I able to collect my passport with Hongkong entry permit provide from Embassy? And how many maximum stay of days that I can be in Hongkong for single entry only?

I’m looking forward to hear from you soon. Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Trinh

Yes, you can apply the entry permits for Hong Kong and Macau from the consular office in KL. The address is 1st Floor, Plaza OSK, 25 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.

You should prepare a set of application documents for each entry permit. The application documents are basically the same, including a photocopy of your passport, application form, recent photo, round-trip ticket copies, hotel reservations, financial standing proof, and travel itinerary.

Generally speaking, you need to wait four to six weeks for the HK entry permit to be processed and three weeks for Macau entry permit. Then stay duration is determined according to your travel schedule and application documents that have been submitted.

Hi Darcy and Team,
Thank you very much for your reply. I've still got one more question about "round-trip ticket copies, hotel reservations", I should get the HK entry permit or not if I submit all of documents?

I'm afraid of in case I've already booked airline ticket, hotel, etc...and payment for all, then I've been rejected and do not get entry permit.

Thank you very much for your kind understanding my concern. And hope to see your soon feedback then I can make a decision.

Trinh, the flight ticket and hotel booking records are required for applying the entry permit. If you don't provide them, I'm afraid your application will be denied. However, even you submit all the documents, I can't say you are sure to get the entry permit.
