About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit
I have a USA passport and an currently in Bangkok. want to travel to Guilin. Can I get visa in BKK?

Jack, you can apply for a toursit type from Chinese embassy in BKK. Many foreigners have applied successfully there. I think you can get it there too.
