About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

For extending visa, an invitation letter from a friend, where i am currently staying, will work?

And i have never checked in a hotel so is that a issue? Also if an invitation letter from a friend will work can anyone send me a format at pratik.

Pratik, I think the invitation letter may not work. You are required to provide your travel itineraries and hotel reservations to prove that you need to stay. They can easily made up. For the hotel reservation, you can cancel them after you get your L type.

In order to extend L type, you should also provide the temporary accommodation registration form. If you stay at a hotel, the hotel can print it for you. However, I am not sure if you register your accommodation within 24 hours after you arrive if you don't stay at a hotel. If you can't provide this form, I am afraid that you can't extend your L type successfully.

When i entered, i directly went to my friends place to stay, I didn't register my accommodation, will this be a big issue?

Pratik, all foreigners are required to register at local police station within 24 hours after they arrive. In your case, your friend should have brought you to local police station and registered your accomodation. Then you would have received the registration form. It is a must to do the extension.

Please go to local police station with your friend and see if you can get such the form. If not, I think you need get back to India to reapply.
