Can I use a new passport for appling a X visa but my JW202 has my old passport number?

Allan, usually the old passport number will be shown on your new passport. I think you can bring your new and old passport together to apply for X type. However, it is still up to the consular officer. If they insist that you should have the new passport number on your JW202 form, then I am afraid that you need to get a new JW202 form again.
